What it is
Factory Go is a browser demo of a Go-like board game with a factory theme. Players take turns placing factory stones, and the winner is decided by the number of stones on the board. The full version adds online play.
Editor takes

“A fine pick-up-and-play Go variant for a coffee break, but the demo is one quick match at a time; the full version's online mode sounds like the real session-saver.”

“No hitbox or twitch factor here — it's turn-based, so the real test is reading the board; the CPU ladder from apprentice to grandmaster gives a clean difficulty ramp.”

“Board sizes and four CPU strengths create variety, but since the demo is local-only, the one-more-run hook is fighting the lack of online opponents.”
How to play
Choose a board size and an opponent, then start a match. You can place a stone, pass, or start a new game. In this version, dead stones are not removed automatically, so you need to capture them; territory is filled automatically at the end.
Tips
- Placing over a smokestack triggers a warning because it can downgrade the factory and leave it open to destruction.
- Smokestacks still count toward your score at the end, so avoid crushing them unless the trade is clearly worth it.
- There is no dead-stone judgment, so capture weak groups fully instead of assuming they are already dead.
- The game is scored by placed stones, with territory filled at the end, so watch how much empty space the opponent can still convert.
- On smaller boards games finish faster; use 19×19 if you want a longer, more open match.
