What it is
Blather is a free browser party game for 2–6 players. One player builds a clue from a limited set of word tiles to describe a secret word, while the others try to guess it. Wrong guesses can become material for the next clue, so the conversation gets funnier as it goes.

“For a tiny word-tray concept, it wrings surprising life out of wrong guesses and no-download rooms, though it's still a polished game-jam proof of concept.”

“The rules are simple enough to grasp instantly, and the real puzzle is reading your friends' brains—though 'wrong guesses become clues' makes scoring feel more vibes than logic.”

“Perfect for a lunch break: one link, no account, browser play on your phone—but you need live friends, so solo commuters can't jump in.”

“Typing feels responsive, but the real speedrun is out-blathering your friends before the word tiles run dry—there's no twitch skill to master.”
How to play
Create a room and share its link; friends join in their browsers without accounts or downloads. Each round, one player picks a secret answer and makes a clue from the available word tiles while everyone else types guesses. Players then take turns describing, and the game can run for 1–5 rounds.
Tips
- Use wrong guesses as inspiration for your next clue, since they already point somewhere close.
- Pick a secret answer you know well so you can guide your friends toward it.
- Make every word tile count; the smaller your vocabulary, the more creative the clue has to be.
- With 3–6 players, chase the room's top score; with 2 players, focus on teamwork.
- Keep awkward or memorable clues around to revisit later or send to friends.
