Refund Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
If we don’t publish your paid listing, you get all your money back automatically. Once your listing is live, the placement you paid for has been delivered, so we don’t refund it, unless we fail to deliver something the plan promised.
What this covers
This policy covers the one-time paid plans for listing a game on newindiegame: Featured ($6.99) and Spotlight ($26.99). Prices are in US dollars. Free submissions involve no payment. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
Automatic full refunds
You get a full refund to the card you paid with, without having to ask, when:
- We don’t accept your game. Most paid submissions go live within minutes. If ours needs a manual look and we then decide not to list the game, we refund the payment in full before marking it rejected.
- You paid twice. If the same submission is paid for more than once, every payment after the first is refunded.
- The payment can’t be matched to a listing. For example, the submission was removed or had already expired when the payment arrived.
Refunds usually reach your card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
After your listing is live
A paid plan buys placement that starts the moment your game is published: the listing, its links, and the homepage Featured slot. Because that is delivered right away, we don’t offer refunds once a paid listing is live, including when you later ask us to remove it.
Some parts of a plan are delivered over time. Blog articles are published within 7 days of payment. If something your plan promised doesn’t happen (an article never appears, or the Featured slot isn’t shown for the time your plan includes), email us within 30 days of payment. We’ll put it right, and if we can’t, we’ll refund the payment in full.
If we remove a live paid listing because it breaks our Terms of Service (for example, the game turns out to contain malware or isn’t what was described), we don’t refund it.
How to ask for a refund
Email contact@newindiegame.com from the address you paid with. Include your game’s name and what went wrong. Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank: we can usually sort things out faster.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you.
Questions? Email contact@newindiegame.com. We usually reply within two business days.
