What it is
Pumpkin's Last Stand is a compact action game about defending a pumpkin patch from the undead. A single giant pumpkin stands between the zombies and the harvest — aim the catapult with the mouse, hold to line up your shot, and release to launch pumpkins into the approaching horde. Pan across the play field with WASD or the arrow keys to find targets, and collect coins from fallen enemies to upgrade your artillery between waves.

CHANGES
v1.0
Initial release for Comfy Jam Autumn 2026
Editor takes

“The hold-to-aim, release-to-fire catapult feels tight and responsive, but the camera panning is a bit floaty and the whole thing runs so short that the difficulty curve barely has room to breathe — still, for a jam prototype, the hitboxes and game feel are surprisingly clean.”

“With only a few minutes per run and a single upgrade path, there's not much variety to chase, but the coin-collecting loop and the escalating zombie waves make each quick session just addictive enough to tempt one more stand.”
How to play
Mouse/LMB: hold to aim the catapult, release to fire. WASD/Arrow Keys: pan the camera left and right. Spacebar: visit the shop. Escape: pause. Camera speed can be adjusted in the Options menu.
Tips
- Keep an eye on the whole play field — zombies can approach from either side, so pan the camera regularly to spot incoming threats.
- Coins dropped by enemies are your only income; prioritize targets that drop them before they reach the patch.
- Upgrade your artillery between waves — the shop is one keypress away, so don't wait until the horde is on top of you.
