What it is
Wordminos is a browser-based word puzzle that combines crossword-style grid building with domino-like letter pieces. Each day offers a new puzzle, and the game also includes puzzle packs and an editor for custom challenges. It was created by a solo developer as a daily word game.

I built a daily word game in 12 days. The base mechanic only took an hour. Getting it to the finish line took the rest. The work was in iteration: design, polish, juice, character. Taste, for now, is still relevant. Enjoy!

How to play
Place the letter pieces onto the board so that they form valid words in both directions, like a crossword. Use the available letters to fill the grid; a puzzle is complete when all intersecting words are correct. The game includes a progress reset option if you want to start over.
Tips
- Start by placing pieces that create long words or fit multiple crossings.
- Work from common prefixes and suffixes to narrow down letter placement.
- If a placement blocks future words, rearrange it rather than forcing it.
- Use the daily puzzle as a warm-up before trying custom puzzle packs.
- When stuck, look for common short words to connect larger words.
