What it is
Troll the King is a comedy word game set in a kingdom where robots have taken over everyone's jobs. You chop wood to make paper, shoot down robot pigeons carrying letters, and rewrite those letters to annoy both kings. The goal is to bring the kings down to their knees, one tampered letter at a time.

Editor takes

“The core word-tampering loop is a clever puzzle hook, but letting the right letters become a grind undercuts the aha moments.”

“For a Ludum Dare game it does a lot with little, though lag reports and a flat end screen reveal its jam-sized finish.”
How to play
Use the mouse and left mouse button to chop wood, shoot pigeons, and collect their letters. Edit the letter text, then send your altered messages to the kings while avoiding the rain of arrows. Choose wording that frustrates or offends the kings to progress.
Tips
- Keep an eye on your paper supply and chop more wood when you run low.
- Shoot down pigeons regularly to get new letters and more word options.
- Watch the kings' reactions to your altered letters to learn what topics annoy them.
- When arrows start falling, move to safety before resuming your letter editing.
- Experiment with different word combinations; even silly phrases can cause a reaction.
