“Right now Trauma Lab is a promising sandbox, but with no visible upgrade or scoring loop to sink into, the long-term hook is all on future builds and a Steam launch.”

“The rules are brutally legible—every bullet carves through skin, muscle, bone and organ—but an in-development sandbox gives me no crafted puzzle to prove the mechanics are fair.”

“For a recently published browser sandbox, the single bullet-to-organ hook is a strong jam-sized idea, though AI-assisted art and sound make the presentation polish hard to assess.”

“An in-development physics sandbox is a toy before a time-trial game, and with lag issues already reported, responsiveness isn't tight enough for a speedrun yet.”
How to play
Launch the HTML5 build directly in your browser, or download the Windows or Android version from the itch.io page. Inside the sandbox, you can experiment with the simulation and observe how bullets interact with different layers of tissue. There is no set objective yet; the current build is meant for experimentation and feedback.
Tips
- Try different firing angles to see how tissue layers affect bullet path and penetration.
- Compare shots to the same body area with different impact points to learn how the simulation handles bone versus muscle.
- Keep in mind the game is in development, so physics behavior may change between builds.
- If you are unsure about performance, start with the browser version before downloading the desktop or Android build.
- Check the devlog for known issues, such as the reported lag problem.
Questions
Is Trauma Lab free?
The download page uses a name-your-own-price model, so you can download the current build without paying. There is also a $5 Supporter option that includes additional access.
