What it is
Splashland Is Closed! is a first-person survival horror game about fishing in the waters behind an abandoned water park. You must fill a bucket for the Mother by 6 AM while strange children climb onto your boat, each demanding a different behavior. The free demo covers the first two nights; the full game expands to six nights and multiple endings.

Free demo: the first two nights.
In 1997, three children vanished at Mama Marina's Splashland. Now you fish the dark bay behind the abandoned water park, and you must fill the bucket for the Mother by 6 AM while her children climb aboard. Each one wants something different:
feed Gulpy, or he eats you;

keep your eyes on Molly, or she drags the boat under;
hide under the tarp while Hatch counts;
on the second night, Robin comes for the bucket, and someone in the old park needs watching.
Every second you spend defending yourself is a second you're not fishing.
The full game has six nights, an Extra Night, eight monsters and the Mother, 100 undead fish to collect, dives into the monsters' dens and more than one ending. Wishlist it on Steam:
How to play. Move the mouse to the edge of the screen (or use the arrow keys) to look around; A and D turn to the sides, S turns around. Space or click to cast and strike, hold to reel in. F: throw a fish. C: hide under the tarp. Q and E: the light. B: binoculars. Tab: sonar. Full controller support. Play with headphones, in the dark.
In the browser it runs best in Chrome or Edge on a computer (it needs WebGL 2). If it's slow, download the Windows or Linux version.
Interface and subtitles in 9 languages: English, Italiano, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português (Brasil), 简体中文, 日本語, 한국어.
Contains jump scares and flashing lights. An option reduces flashes and screen shake.
Editor takes

“A drowned-park elegy with a hook: every rule is a story beat, and the Mother's bucket makes the dread feel mythic.”

“Two nights show a tight loop—fish, defend, fill the bucket—but the real economy problem is whether six nights of monsters can keep the tension from becoming a chore.”

“The first two nights are a solid run, but I need to see how the eight monsters remix the nightly route before I call it a repeatable loop.”

“Impressive scope discipline for a jam-sized horror: a cramped boat, a tarp, a bucket, and one strong gimmick, polished enough to feel bigger than its two-night demo.”
How to play
Move the mouse to the edge of the screen or use the arrow keys to look around; A and D turn, and S turns around. Space or click casts and strikes, and holding it reels in fish. You can also throw fish, hide under the tarp, use a light, binoculars, and sonar to keep track of what is approaching.
Tips
- Keep fishing whenever you are safe — every moment spent defending is time not spent filling the bucket.
- Follow each child's rule: feed Gulpy, keep your eyes on Molly, hide while Hatch counts.
- Use the tarp hide ability when a monster forces you to break line of sight.
- Check your surroundings with sonar or binoculars so nothing catches you unprepared.
- Play with headphones; audio cues matter for knowing what is coming.
