What it is
Sleigh the Spire is a compact, browser-playable roguelike deckbuilder with a festive twist. Santa has gone rogue, and it's up to Mrs. Claus to deliver all the gifts before Christmas and snap her rosy-cheeked husband out of it. Built in one week for a game dev competition with the theme "Christmas with a twist," it wears its Slay the Spire influence openly while adding a seasonal coat of pixel art and gift-giving.

Editor takes

βA perfect one-button browser break β quick sessions, touchscreen friendly, and easy to pick up between rounds of holiday chaos.β

βThe festive framing is charming, but carbon-copy cards and trivially easy infinites make each run feel samey after the first.β
How to play
Turn-based card combat drives the run. After each battle you expand your deck and hand out gifts, balancing your growing arsenal against the holiday deadline. The game is designed for short sessions and supports one-button play, with keyboard, mouse, gamepad, and touchscreen inputs all available.
Tips
- Keep your deck lean β removing cards is easy, so curate carefully rather than hoarding every present.
- Look for synergies between gift cards and combat cards; some combinations can loop into powerful turns.
- Don't be afraid to experiment β the run is short, and the balance is still being tuned by the developer.
