What it is
Roadkill is an arcade survival driving game in which you mow down waves of zombies for scrap and points. Between waves you spend scrap on car upgrades and three auto-aiming guns, then see how long you can last. Driving is inspired by the feel of the original GTA games.
Editor takes
“Tight loop: waves, scrap, and three self-aiming guns from a tiny driving core, but it's a compact session, not a deep game.”
“Run-to-run variety comes from scrap builds and your chosen guns, and anonymous two-car online co-op makes losing feel less lonely.”
“Drift and handbrake give the rear some slide, yet auto-aim guns and simple left-thumb drive keep it more casual than twitchy.”
How to play
Drive with WASD or arrow keys, or with the on-screen stick on mobile: up for gas, down for brake and reverse, left and right to steer. Use Space or the Drift button to slide the rear. Run over zombies to earn scrap, then spend it between waves before starting the next one.
Tips
- Chain kills quickly to build combos for bigger scores.
- Spend scrap between waves on car upgrades and guns rather than saving it all.
- Use the handbrake or drift button to slide the rear for tighter turns.
- Let your three auto-aiming guns handle zombies off to the side while you steer through clusters.
- Watch your armour and repair it when you buy upgrades between waves.
