What it is
PACKARDOS is an idle pack-opening game about collecting cards from 35 expansions, from modern sets back to the classic Base Set era. You open packs, decide what to do with each card, and work toward rare collection goals. It is a free browser prototype and an unofficial fan game.
From the developer
In the developer’s own words, from slambond.itch.io.
Open packs, chase hits, and build your dream collection.
PACKARDOS is an idle collectible card pack-opening game . Start with two free, unlimited expansions, reveal each card with its own animation (big hits pause, shine, and play special sounds), and decide what to do with every card: keep it, sell it, or send it in for grading. Use your earnings to unlock older and increasingly valuable expansions, all the way to the ultimate goal: 1st Edition Base Set.

Editor takes
“Great for a commute: half-hour pack rips, tap-friendly and auto-saved, but you’ll want to export your save if you ever clear browser data.”
“The 4,240-card/18-tier ladder promises long-term number go up, but as a prototype the pacing isn't proven yet; automation upgrades will decide if it holds.”
“Clear tutorial and readable controls make the rules accessible, but with RNG-based grading and a prototype label, the fairness of the economic loop remains unproven.”
How to play
Open a pack and watch each card reveal with its own animation, using click, Space, Enter, or tap. After each reveal, choose whether to keep, sell, or send the card to grading, then use your earnings to unlock more expansions and upgrades.
Tips
- Sell cards you don't need to build up currency for more expensive expansions.
- Send rare or favorite cards to grading, since graded cards receive a score from 1 to 10.
- Prioritize unlocking older expansions, as they lead toward the 1st Edition Base Set goal.
- Use automation upgrades like auto-openers and auto-sellers once they become available to speed up progress.
- Watch for special shiny cards: big hits pause and get special effects, so don't rush through reveals.
