What it is
Number Route is a free browser puzzle in which you are given four numbers in a fixed order, a target, and three operator slots to fill. Move left to right with +, −, × or ÷, using every number exactly once. It is available in Anytime mode and as a rotating Daily challenge.

Editor takes
“The guided teaching route is a fair way to learn the rules, but with one fixed solution and strict left-to-right math, the aha feels more like elimination than insight.”
“Ten quick routes are perfect for a coffee break, but if the game fails to load like it did here, that break is over before you start.”
How to play
Start with the first number and apply the operator you choose for the next number to get a running total. Continue with the following number until all four numbers have been used. If a division step would not produce a whole number, that operator is not valid for that route; reset the route or skip if you are stuck.
Tips
- Calculate strictly left to right, not with ordinary arithmetic order of operations.
- Try to solve in fewer attempts in Anytime mode to earn more points.
- Only use division when it gives a whole number.
- Keep using all four numbers even if your running total matches the target early.
- If you are stuck, reset the route or skip to the next puzzle instead of guessing randomly.
