What it is
Maybe... I'll go to the beach is a spatial programming puzzle game currently in development. In the demo, players build small programs by placing objects on a grid on the left side of the screen, then watch the right side to see whether their program solves the level.

ABOUT THE GAME

I love spatial programming, so I wanted to make a game about it!
You create conditions/actions on the left side by putting objects on a grid, then watch on the right side to see if your program solves the level.
FEATURES
Cool type of programming

Open ended puzzles
Inspired by Cellular Automata, CellPond (TodePond), MarkovJunior (mxgmn), Ping Pong the Animation
Thank you! I hope you find it interesting!
Editor takes
“A clever spatial-programming idea squeezed into a 10-level demo, but the barebones onboarding keeps it from feeling fully polished.”
“A nice browser-sized distraction for a lunch break, though I'd want proper save/checkpoints before I commit to 50 levels.”
“The rule set is elegant once it clicks, but relying on a help section instead of a tutorial makes the early aha moments feel more like guesswork.”
“No hitboxes here—it's a thinky grid game, but the drag-and-drop flow felt deliberate and the 10-level curve left me wanting more.”
How to play
Each level presents a goal that must be achieved by creating conditions and actions on a grid. You place objects representing rules on the grid, then run your arrangement and observe the simulation. Adjust your program until the level is solved.
Tips
- Read the in-game manual if the interface is unclear.
- Start with the early levels to learn how icons are placed and combined.
- Try adding multiple icons into one section once you understand the basics.
- Use the visual simulation to see which rules fire and which don't.
- Experiment with open-ended solutions rather than looking for one exact answer.
