Editor takes
“Dash feels responsive and hordes read clearly, but archers + bombers get brutally punishing late — great tension if you've got quick reflexes.”
“For a jam game it's absurdly complete — 17 perks, a boss, dual controls — and the #1 rank out of 139 checks out.”
“Seventeen perks give each run a different build hook, but if the single throne room and boss stay static, the replay loop could wear thin fast.”
“Portrait touch controls and dash-on-a-button make this a solid pick-up-and-play for short breaks, and runs feel built for one-sitting sessions.”
How to play
Move with the virtual joystick on mobile or WASD/arrow keys on desktop, and use the dash button or Space bar to dodge. After gaining enough experience, choose from upgrade cards using the on-screen cards or the 1/2/3 keys. Survive increasingly dangerous waves and defeat the boss to protect the throne.
Tips
- Keep moving constantly so enemies do not surround you.
- Save your dash for explosive bombers, archer volleys, or elite enemy attacks.
- Pick perks that work well together instead of grabbing upgrades at random.
- Prioritize the most dangerous enemies, such as bombers and elites, before dealing with weaker soldiers.
- Watch for boss tells and use the dash to avoid heavy incoming damage.
