What it is
Incremental Table is an idle game set in an isometric pixel-art physics lab, built on real science data. You shine light on metals to knock out electrons via the photoelectric effect, spend those electrons on atoms, and discover new elements from hydrogen to krypton.

An idle game set in an isometric pixel-art physics lab, built on real science. Shine light on metals to knock out electrons (the photoelectric effect), spend them on atoms, discover new elements and climb from hydrogen to krypton.
• 36 elements (periods 1–4) with real data: work functions, ionization energies, electronegativity
• Light sources from red LEDs to ultraviolet: photon energy decides what you can ionize

• Real lab equipment: Wimshurst machine, Leyden jars, Dewar flasks, power generators
• 69 compounds to synthesize, with ionic and covalent bonds and redox reactions
• A power plant: generators, grid load, lamp filaments that follow the Stefan–Boltzmann law
• Publish your research to start over stronger, and earn an honorary degree at the end, with a printable PDF diploma
• About 13 hours to finish; your lab keeps working while you're away
• In English and Italian
In development: periods 5–7 will arrive in future updates.

Editor takes
“Quick sessions and touch controls make it a decent commute pick-up, and browser saves mean progress sticks around, but the lack of later periods keeps it from being a complete journey.”
“The real-data scaffolding and 69 compounds give number-crunchers plenty to chew on, though a 13-hour loop with prestige-style publishing needs to prove it stays fresh after the first reset.”
“Impressive scope for a jam-sized project with real physics and a printable diploma, but the cluttered layout and thin early game show it's still in development.”
How to play
Point light sources at metal targets to produce electrons, then spend them on atoms, upgrades, and compounds. Stronger light sources add more photon energy, letting you ionize metals with higher work functions and unlock new elements. The lab keeps working while you are away, so you can return later to spend accumulated resources.
Tips
- Focus on unlocking higher-energy light sources to reach metals that need more photon energy.
- Publish your research when you can; it lets you start over stronger and progress faster in the next run.
- Synthesize compounds as they become available to make use of the elements you have already discovered.
- Let the game idle when you are stuck; your lab continues producing electrons even while closed.
