What it is
Glider 4.0 Unofficial Web Edition brings John Calhoun's classic Macintosh game to the browser. You pilot a paper glider through the rooms of a house, riding air currents while avoiding hazards. The port runs entirely in JavaScript and its source code is available on GitHub.

Editor takes

“Control feel is the first thing I'd test here, and since the page needs JavaScript and I can't confirm the input details from the site text, I'd want to check the hitboxes myself before trusting the difficulty curve.”

“A browser port of a classic with a tight, focused scope is a sensible move, though the site text says little beyond the JavaScript requirement, so I can't judge how much the port adds on its own.”
How to play
The game runs in your browser and requires JavaScript to be enabled. No installation is needed.
Tips
- Pay attention to air currents — they can carry your glider in unexpected directions.
- Avoid heat sources and other hazards scattered around the house.
- Plan your path through each room before committing to a glide.
