What it is
A short deduction puzzle set in 2002, where you must recover your guildmates' email addresses after the MMO you all played together suddenly shuts down.
From the developer
In the developer’s own words, from misha.itch.io.
Another night of 2002 where you were hoping to meet with your guild on the critic-acclaimed MMORPG Echoes of Twilight ... Except the servers have been shut down indefinitely with no warning! Looks like you're all alone again. Unless you can find a way to contact them?
How do you contact your friends, you ask? An email could be nice... But you only ever chatted through the game and never exchange contact info, did you? Well, good thing the game lets you retrieve your email with a simple username... and some security questions. I'm sure your friends let slip some information during some late night chats. Time to play detective!
Dig through your guild's chat log to figure out your friends' security answers. What's your teammate favourite dessert? Where were they born? And if you've forgotten some information about Echoes of Twilight (how could you though, with over 1,500 hours of playtime?), the player manual could come in handy...

Once you've gotten everyone's email address, you'll finally be able to reach out to them, hurray!

Editor takes
“For a jam game, it nails a cohesive fake-OS detective vibe with thoughtful high-contrast options, but making me look up astrological signs outside the game pulls me right out of that tight, self-contained scope.”
“An hour-long browser detective game without any mention of save states or touch support means you're committing to a single uninterrupted desktop session, which just doesn't fit into my short-break routine.”
How to play
You play through a simulated desktop interface, using the game's password recovery system to retrieve email addresses for each of your friends. To answer their security questions, you dig through saved guild chat logs for personal details they let slip, and consult the player manual for facts about the game itself.
Tips
- Pay close attention to casual remarks in chat logs — seemingly offhand comments often contain the details you need.
- If you get stuck on a question about the game world, the manual is the place to look.
- The experience is designed to be completed in roughly an hour, so don't be afraid to take your time reading through the logs.
