What it is
Chronicle is a text-driven incremental game about guiding one heroic life from childhood into adulthood. In this early alpha build, you manage months and choose activities to build stats and unlock life paths in a single town. It is currently free to play in a desktop browser.

- S saves. The game does not save on its own yet.
- N begins a new life. T switches between day and candlelight. R reduces motion.
This is a first alpha build: one town, lives from 7 to 30 and a little beyond. It runs in a desktop browser with mouse and keyboard, and the save stays in that browser. Feedback on balance and on anything unclear is very welcome.
Editor takes
“As an alpha it's a promising spreadsheet of choices, but the tight stat and quest timings already feel like they need rebalancing before the long-term loop can hold.”
“Good keyboard shortcuts and a solid click-confirm rhythm, but the difficulty curve is brutal and the 'Segmentation Fault' crash breaks the flow entirely.”
“For a first alpha with one town and a 7-to-30 life span, it packs a ton of branching paths — now it just needs the rough crash edges sanded down.”
“Desktop-only, manual save, and no autosave yet means this is a 'plan a proper break' game, not a quick pick-up-and-play one.”
How to play
Click an activity to see what it costs and gives, then confirm it to spend time on it. Hover over anything for more details. Space pauses or resumes the months, and S saves your progress manually.
Tips
- Save regularly with S, because the game does not autosave yet.
- Hover over activities to check their exact costs and rewards before committing.
- Use Space to pause the calendar while you plan your next moves.
- Focus early on the stats needed for the path you want, since some opportunities can close as you age.
- Pay attention to main quests when they appear, as they may become unavailable later.
